WELLBEING PROGRAMS
GW is committed to providing students opportunities to prioritize wellbeing in a variety of different ways. Through our division's programs, students can explore their physical, social, and emotional health throughout their time at GW.

CAPS Groups & Support Spaces
Led by our licensed clinicians, our groups and support spaces help you improve your relationships, learn about yourself and others, enhance your communication skills, and reduce isolation within a supportive, normalizing environment of peers.
Peer Health Education
Through events, workshops, marketing campaigns and more, Capital Peers serve as educators and role models for GW students on all things health and wellbeing. Students who participate in the Capital Peers program are nationally-certified peer educators through the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) affiliate, BACCHUS Network.
Recreation Programming
Campus Recreation's programming allows students to find joyful movement through a variety of avenues. Create an intramural sports team with your friends and play against other amateurs. Join a club sports team and travel around the northeast competing with rival universities and colleges. Or participate in a GW TRAiLS trip to Roosevelt Island or Shenandoah National Park!
Fitness Programming
Campus Recreation offers various programs to promote the health and fitness of GW students and LHWC members. Workout in our state-of-the-art fitness center, take a group fitness class or weight train with a personal trainer. Most importantly, have fun and build sustainable and positive health habits that will stay with you for a lifetime! Our fitness and wellness programs prioritize safe and functional movement and do our best to accommodate all bodies.
