GIVE TO STUDENT AFFAIRS

The Division for Student Affairs is student-centered in all that we do. Our mission is to ensure students graduate from GW with experiences that have enhanced their intellectual, social, cultural, and personal growth. We accomplish this through programming and initiatives that enhance the student experience and help students explore interests beyond the classroom. In order to do that, we need your support! We are grateful for all who donate in support of our students.

“After my family’s employment circumstances changed, I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to afford personal expenses and necessities on top of my educational costs. Since receiving support from the CARES Fund, I have been able to focus on my academic and professional growth without worrying about basic expenses. I am excited to graduate and find a job in my profession. As my mother is a single parent and I am a first-generation college student, achieving this goal is a huge milestone for me and my family.”

University Student Center

A preeminent institution of higher learning should have a renowned Student Center. The Division for Student Affairs intends to shift the paradigm within the existing building, redesigning the space to support a holistic student experience both in and out of the classroom. The care of our students should be seen in the way we utilize space to support connectedness and belonging to the institution.

Parents Fund

The Rodney L. Johnson Parents Helping Parents Fund is an emergency fund that provides financial assistance to help GW parents support their students as well as to facilitate family participation in signature events such as New Student Orientation, Alumni & Families Weekend, and Commencement.

It was born from the notion that families have an interest and obligation in supporting each other. GW has a strong community of families of current students and alumni who understand the critical role they play in supporting the academic, social, and personal success of GW students. The fund leverages that strength to provide financial assistance that can make a real difference for both students and families at GW.
