Campus Living & Residential Education

Our number one priority is ensuring the safety of our community and we stand ready to support our students through this difficult time. On campus students were asked to vacate GW residence halls and only a limited number of exceptions were made.

With government stay-at-home instructions issued to limit the spread of COVID-19, we do not believe it will be safe for students and their families to return to campus in the coming weeks to move out of the residence halls on their own accord.

Our focus is on packing and storing student belongings through the start of the Fall 2020 semester at no cost. We are exploring options for the shipping of some items or the retrieval of stored belongings if this becomes a safe option.

GW Cares

At GW, we aim to create a community that cares for one another. The college experience can often be challenging, and asking for help can be difficult. The CARE Network reaches out to offer support so that students can be as successful as possible through graduation.

If you are concerned about a student, please submit a CARE report.

If your student is experiencing financial hardship due to the COVID-19 emergency, they may submit a request for funding through the GW CARES Student Assistance Fund.

Make a donation to GW CARES to help students in need.
