The Store
THE STORE
BUILT ON TRUST
The Store is a student-run food pantry that provides resources and support for students living with food insecurity. Our mission is to address student need at GW by offering food and other resources to ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed.

You will receive access to The Store’s front door entrance within 2 business days of your request submission directly on your GWORLD card.
Stocking the Shelves
The Store is stocked with non-perishables (canned vegetables, pasta, rice, peanut butter, oatmeal, etc.) on an on-going basis. It is also stocked with dairy, produce, vegetables, fruit, and meats 2-3 times a week during the academic year.
GET INVOLVED
The Store is a valuable community resource and has been made possible by the generosity of hundreds of volunteers and donors. There are several ways you can get involved to support The Store.
Volunteer
The Store would not be able to operate without the valued help of our volunteers, who stock shelves, clean, pick up and deliver food from our partners, and manage the overall upkeep of The Store. If you are interested in volunteering, we would love to have you! Complete our Volunteer Interest Form today to volunteer during open hours and operational shifts. Or, use GivePulse to join us for Saturday Cleaning shifts and large restocks.
Join the Student Org
The Store and its volunteers are managed by the student organization. Current GW students can consider applying for a Store manager position. Store managers assist with our bi-weekly stocks of the store, and take on more of a leadership role than the regular weekly volunteers.
Donate
You can donate canned goods (soup, tomato sauce, etc.), non-perishable food items (pasta, rice, oatmeal, cereal, and peanut butter are in high demand), school supplies, personal hygiene items, and interview or professional attire. We also accept monetary donations.
