The Mount Vernon Campus, or “The Vern” as it’s affectionately known, offers GW students a traditional college campus experience in the verdant Palisades neighborhood of Washington D.C. And, with easy access to the downtown area, students living on the Vern truly have the best of both worlds. The Vern team supports the student experience and enhances campus life through events that build connections and opportunities for student belonging and growth.

THE VERN EXPERIENCE

The Vern is a place of growth and opportunity. It’s both easily accessible to  downtown Washington, D.C. and  a retreat from the busy city with tree-lined paths and open green spaces. It’s where students are guided by faculty, staff, and their peers to nurture connections, explore ideas, and find purpose. It’s a place to call home.
