The Summit

Welcome to Summit

GW’s Low Ropes Course

At GW, our classroom is the city—but sometimes, the most powerful lessons happen just a few steps off the ground.

The Summit is GW’s revitalized low ropes course—an outdoor experiential learning space designed to bring teams together, strengthen connections, and elevate leadership.

Located on the Mount Vernon campus, The Summit features 14 unique elements designed to challenge your group physically, mentally, and collaboratively. Whether you’re climbing, balancing, spotting, or strategizing, every activity is an opportunity to explore how your team communicates, solves problems, and supports one another.

Why Bring Your Group to The Summit?

At GW, our students push past boundaries, engage deeply with each other, and rise to new challenges. The Summit is an extension of that spirit.

Here, students don’t just want to be on a team. They want to become a team.

They want to challenge themselves, reflect on how they lead, and emerge stronger—together.

From student organizations and residence halls to academic cohorts and professional staff, The Summit offers a powerful platform for group development and personal growth.
