This webinar series is designed specifically for new GW families, providing the essential tools, resources, and insights needed to support your student’s success. Through interactive Zoom sessions, campus experts—your architects of the GW experience—will walk you through key processes, timelines, and campus resources, ensuring you feel informed and ready to build a strong foundation for your student’s journey. All sessions are recorded and listed on the website 48 hours after the session occurs.

Supporting First-Gen Students and their Families  | June 9, 7 - 8 PM EDT

Join us for a special session where our office's first-generation members discuss the unique challenges and experiences of being the first in their families to attend college. First-generation college students are those whose parents or guardians have not completed a bachelor's degree. This event aims to provide valuable information, resources, and support to help students and their families navigate the transition into college successfully.

Here at GW, your student's success is our top priority. The university offers a robust support network that is dedicated to helping your student achieve their academic and personal goals and helping them navigate challenging circumstance that may arise. Join Student Support, Academic Commons, The Office of Disability Support Services, and the Office of Student Success as they discuss academic and student support resources and ways families can support their student build skills around self-awareness, self-advocacy, and resilience.
