What is the Sexsonian?

Pleasure is a non-negotiable part of sexual wellbeing—so let’s talk about it! The Sexsonian is a comprehensive, pleasure-centered sex education event (18+) that champions pleasure as  a fundamental aspect of sexual wellbeing.This immersive event invites students, faculty, community members, and media to explore, learn, and challenge taboos in an open, inclusive space. Its goal is to foster a culture that values and respects the diverse ways individuals experience pleasure as part of holistic health.

Our mission is to create a comprehensive, pleasure-centered sex education event that emphasizes pleasure as a non-negotiable component of sexual wellbeing for all individuals.

Our vision is to foster a campus culture that understands the value of pleasure and respects the diverse ways that pleasure can be attained. Pleasure will be seen as an integral part of holistic wellbeing.

📖 A smut library full of steamy reads and eye-opening narratives.

🛍️ A pop-up shop from Friends to Lovers Bookstore for all your romance and erotica needs.

🖤 Kink Corner, featuring educators from The Crucible, DC’s only alternative lifestyles/BDSM private club.

👃 A sensory exploration space—explore pleasure with all 5 senses.

This event is made possible in collaboration with our incredible campus partners: Office of Student Outreach and Support (SOS), Office of Advocacy and Support (OAS), and Trans Non-Binary Students (TNBS), as well as our valued community partners, The Crucible and Friends to Lovers Bookstore.
