Dear GW Students,
As the fall semester comes to a close, I want to take this opportunity to commend you on your hard work in challenging classes, dedication to your extra curricular activities, and positive contributions to our shared community. It is more than academic excellence that makes GW shine. It is the passion for discovery, ability to find value in our differences, and commitment to leadership that makes the GW spirit unbreakable. It has been another memorable semester – from countless individual successes in and out of the classroom to hundreds of student organization events that brought our community together – you all have something to be proud of.
Throughout the final exam period, I encourage you to prioritize your mental and physical health by taking advantage of academic and wellbeing resources. Whether it is a workout at Lerner after an intense study session, a grounding chat with a trusted classmate or counselor in between exams, a nourishing meal surrounded by friends, or just finding the perfect late-night study spot in the University Student Center, it is important to take good care of yourself during stressful times. You can find more resources at the bottom of this message. And remember, you’re not in this alone. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the Division for Student Affairs at students
gwu [dot] edu (students[at]gwu[dot]edu) if you need assistance identifying or connecting with resources.
I wish you all the best for a restorative and joyful winter break, and look forward to our community coming together again in January for an exciting spring semester!
Raise High,
Colette Coleman
