Dear Members of the GW Community,
As we reflect on the past academic year, I am thankful for the ways our community has come together to support our students and strengthen our university. One important example that will serve our community well for years to come is our extensive revision of the Code of Student Conduct, which is now complete.
Updating the code was an iterative process driven by deep engagement with our students, faculty and staff. The result is a new code, strengthened by the many voices of our community, that will be effective June 1.
Through three community engagement periods, we carefully considered each piece of feedback, and we believe the final code provides a more learning-centered, procedurally-sound, and community-focused approach to student conduct policies and expectations at GW, while also prioritizing student support.
Questions about the new code may be directed to the Conflict Education & Student Accountability office at CESA
gwu [dot] edu (CESA[at]gwu[dot]edu).
Sincerely,
Colette Coleman
