WE ARE EXCITED AND PRIVILEGED TO WELCOME YOU to the George Washington University. You are about to embark on a new and exciting journey as a GW student. As your inaugural Associate Vice Provost and Dean of the Student Experience, I look forward to engaging with you and encourage you to be in learning mode as you transition to the university. You’ll discover the many offices and people here who can help during your first year. Our Enrollment and the Student Experience (ESE) team members can assist as you navigate GW, we have built a student experience that is inclusive, welcoming, informative, and fun.

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION (CLASS OF 2023)

NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION aims to aid in the academic, personal, social, and cultural transition of new undergraduate students and their families to the GW and D.C. communities. The programming you participate in is designed to introduce you to the academic culture and class registration process, community expectations and resources, and involvement opportunities on-campus and in the city.

INTERNATIONAL FIRST-YEAR AND TRANSFER STUDENTS will participate in the International Services Office (ISO) mandatory Immigration Session scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 20, in the morning. Additional information and other details will come directly from ISO. Questions can be directed to [email protected].
