Dear GW Students,
As another academic year concludes, we congratulate you on your tireless efforts to pursue academic excellence and innovation, take challenges in stride, and contribute to a stronger GW community. You have done these things both inside and outside the classroom. Whether you summarized your thesis in three minutes, contributed to the successful planning of a heritage celebration, presented groundbreaking research in a school showcase or at InnovationFest, or helped lead your club sports team to an important win, so many members of this student body have made lasting impacts within our community and beyond. Whatever success looked like for you this year, we are happy to help celebrate it with you.
Some programs are concluding finals while for many students, finals are about to begin. During this busy time, we hope you reflect on your successes, utilize lessons learned from challenges and mistakes, and approach your remaining tasks with confidence. Of course, it is important to prioritize personal wellbeing as part of your success plan. Take care of yourself by including breaks in your study sessions, staying active, eating well, and asking for help when you need it.
Additionally, we ask that you continue to be respectful of your classmates during this time. As a reminder, Kogan Plaza remains a 24-Hour Quiet Area until May 11.
Good luck on finals and best wishes for an enjoyable and healthy summer break. We can’t wait to celebrate our graduating students at Commencement on the National Mall on May 18 and welcome back our returning cohorts in the fall for an exciting year filled with new opportunities.
Sincerely,
