Sonika Kumar (she/her)

Student Coordinator for Orientation

Sonika (’27), is a rising senior double majoring in criminal justice and psychological and brain sciences with a micro-minor in health equity. When she's not in our office, you can find Sonika dancing on GW's femme-inclusive multicultural dance team, GW Chamak. She is also a research assistant for the Diverse Family Relationships Lab for which enjoys coding qualitative data. Outside of GW, Sonika loves to go to different cafes across the DMV (aka DC-Maryland-Virginia metropolitan area). She's from Chesapeake, Virginia and is a Columbian College of Arts & Sciences (CCAS) 2027 graduate.

Ritah Magera (she/her)

Student Coordinator for Orientation

Ritah ('27) is a rising senior in the Columbian College of Arts & Sciences (CCAS) double-majoring in psychological and brain sciences and criminal justice. She's worked with the Orientation and Class Year Programs office for three years now. Ritah loves working with kids, so she spends her time either babysitting or working as a Registered Behavior Technician, supporting kids with developmental delays. She also works at the Nashman Center, supporting Community Engaged Scholarship courses. When she isn't working, you can most likely find her cooking, trying out new restaurants, and shopping around the DMV.

Tamera Rizvi (she/her)

Student Coordinator for Family Engagement

Tamera (’27) is double majoring in communication and business and is a rising senior from Northern Virginia. If she isn't supporting the Family Engagement team, you can find her working at the Textile Museum, supporting her friends in their performances on campus, or professionally developing her sisters in her Community Service Sorority. She loves spending time outdoors, whether that’s going on a hike or having a picnic. In her free time, she enjoys exploring, going on walks, and discovering new spots with friends.

Noshi Toor (he/him)

Orientation Leader

Noshi (’29) is studying international affairs with a concentration in security policy and a minor in Information Technology. He's from Basking Ridge, New Jersey and has gotten involved in his first year at GW. Noshi is the president of the GW chapter of Project Sunshine, an org focused on fundraising and event planning for families with children facing medical challenges. Aside from starting new orgs on campus, he is a member of the Asian American Student Association, Paws for a Cause, GW Democrats, and the South Asian Society. Outside of GW, Noshi works at Abercrombie & Fitch in Georgetown!
